I grew up on lakes in cottage country Ontario, but it wasn't until I spent a summer teaching sailing on the Atlantic Ocean that I fell in love with saltwater. 

Especially the effect it had on my hair.  

I tried well-known beach wave hair sprays but the effect wasn’t the same, and they left my hair feeling dry and weak with repeated use because of their formulations, which almost always include alcohols and other harsh ingredients.

I knew I had to figure out how to bottle the Salty feeling you get after spending a day in the water.

I used my chemical engineering background and dove into developing the perfect formula for a naturally-derived sea salt spray that uses real saltwater sourced from the North Atlantic, with additional hydrating and thickening plant gels for extra volume and hold that actually adds moisture to your hair.

As a kiteboarder based out of Halifax, immediate feedback from surfers, beach lovers and hair stylists affirmed that I was on to something incredible.

We're now growing to add more hair products to our lineup that all support our mission of creating the ultimate in windswept, effortless, surf-inspired hair, while remaining committed to research-backed, naturally-derived, ocean-inspired products that are good your hair and the health of our planet.
